The City of Kalamazoo accepted jurisdiction of trunklines within the downtown area from MDOT. BL I-94 was removed from the US 131 freeway and Stadium Drive, with most of the routing turned over to city control and renamed to Business Spur Interstate 94 (BS I-94).
