Israeli Antiquities Authority discovered a trove of 44 pure gold coins from the early 7th Century CE. Coins were minted by Byzantine-Roman Emperors Phocas (602-610 CE) and Heraclius (610-641 CE), with the latest coins dating to the period of the Arab conquest of the Levant.

An altar with a Greek inscription was discovered in the walls of a 7th-century church. The inscription records the altar was dedicated by Atheneon, son of Sosipatros from Antioch, to the god Pan Heliopolitanos.
