Problem of time
Ekaterina Moreva and colleagues at the Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica (INRIM) in Turin, Italy, conducted the first experimental test of Page and Wootters' ideas about time as an emergent phenomenon. Their experiment with photons confirmed that time appears as an internal observer experience but is absent for external observers of the universe, aligning with the Wheeler–DeWitt equation predictions.
